How do we draw the line between racism and freedom of speech If it's such a fine line? How can we distinguish and reinforce the freedom of speech In our minds and be true citizens of "America" If racism opposes the supposed Amendments made to "Protect us?"
Ethnic Inequality, Racial Discrimination, Racial Inequality, Ethnic Discrimination, (The list goes on) are major issues and always was in today’s society and is a major flaw in history. It's a shame how we discriminate so much against people, to the point where sometimes we don't even know why we do it. This is where stereotypes are created. Racial Discrimination is like dust, it's everywhere and it's difficult to get rid of. The only way we can somehow stultify it, and it's other problems, is to work together to help loosen that mentality everybody has on Discrimination. No one wants to be a victim of racism, but it can happen to anyone. Racial discrimination can be so painful that it can leave a scar and traumatize the victim.
How can we fight this social issue of Racial Discrimination in our society? We can stop racial Discrimination by fighting for people's rights and standing up for those people who were victimized because we care for them and our future generations along with making a change.
People today feel as though since there are laws that can "help us" or some laws and branches are more developed, things can change. but how can It change and how did it? all It did was mask Itself In a new wrap, and refreshen It's rules. that's all. Racism still exists, but It's not as major as the turbulent 60's and the mid-1900's.
The people today can make a great impact on how to end this. Furthermore, we can start by educating the people and children in our home and in school. If we express our thoughts to those who are learning, that this is not an acceptable trait, it can make a big difference. We need to teach this to narrow-minded people who believe that there race is better than others and to appreciate not discriminate. Too much discrimination exists in this world, and it seems like it only gets worst by the second.
While researching I learned that ethnicity is clearly distinguished from race due to countries like North America, Africans, People across the boarder, or any descendant of the Latino culture.
Did you know that less than half of black families (41 percent) and Hispanic families (45 percent) live in owner-occupied housing, whereas white families is 71 percent? This is Economic Discrimination. Economic Discrimination is a Discrimination based on economic factors. My question Is how can people speak so poorly about people of “Low status” when the reason why they are classified in that position or order is because of Racial Discrimination And Inequality? That’s like making an assumption about a person's personality, and automatically ranking them as this type of person without knowing who they are.
I also learned that racial terms like "African American" are often used when considering biological relations in terms of populations. And when thinking of cultural relations, and the term "ethnic group," is considered to be more appropriate for classifying people and putting them in order based on their color. I lastly learned that racist attitudes in this country have been most notably applied to people of color or descendants, like: Native Americans, African Americans, immigrant groups, and transplanted generations perceived as foreign in nature. I became interested in this topic, because of what my grandfather experienced when he was young. Frank Rizzo, an American Police Officer and politician, had my grandfather beaten for “assaulting” a white kid when that kid hit him, and when he tried to tell the police he didn’t, they put him in jail.
My grandfather now has back problems because of this, and ever since I’ve heard this story, I’ve always wanted to speak out on ethnic inequality. It’s not right how people are discriminated against or judged because of these poor points of views and stereotypes that people have. People’s bigotry and prejudice comments to hurt those who are from different countries, It’s wrong to classify or make biguous assumptions about one’s identity and one’s race.
Do you see the difference here? A black man Is blamed for "assaulting" A white kid, when In fact, that didn't happen at all. But If the white kid was called out on it, that wouldn't even happen. It's racism. racism can be a sensitive topic, and therefore It's something that can't be handled carelessly. because racism has existed for so long, and Is like a cancerous disease, we need to come up with a cure to end It so It can stop weakening people.
This topic matters to me because there are probably others who have stories and may not want to speak out on this issue, so therefore I’m here to address this, and also I’m passionate about this because I want to bring it to people’s attention what’s going on. I noticed that Ethnic Inequality and Racial Discrimination are sometimes swept away because of other issues that are constantly on the news. Discrimination is like a noose, preventing people from making smart decisions. It restricts people from making their own personal choices. Nooses are occasionally unfairly put around innocent men's' lives for their death, controlling those people and their future.
This issue is important because our nation is moving toward two societies, one black, one white separate and unequal.” The commission blamed white racism for the riots and urged the government to provide jobs and housing for African Americans and to take steps to end racial segregation. More than four decades later, Racial Inequality in the United States continues to exist and in many ways has worsened. Despite major advances by African Americans, Latinos, and other people of color during the past few decades, they continue to lag behind non-Hispanic whites in education, income, health, and other social indicators. Biological race is impossible because there is no genetic or DNA make-up difference from one race to another. Racial inequality is a very big issue that the world is dealing with, especially the United States. People tend to discriminate because of the way someone looks or where they are from. These could be an example prejudice which is the act of prejudging a person because of their appearance, thoughts and/or ideas. Also stereotyping, discrimination, and racism go hand in hand with a lot of things.
It’s sad how we look to policy and law enforcements for situations like these to be “solved” when we can’t even do it ourselves. Perhaps talking to people who care about this topic would be a good idea, and make things easier. The policy really won’t make things easier, instead it will just make people more paranoid, and more stigma will happen. Because of low health care and employment, something like “lower class” exists. I think this exists because they are not just more likely to be born into families with less wealth, education, and income, but they are also more likely to live in poor neighborhoods where high-quality schools are more difficult to find, crime is high, and other high and safe things are unavailable.
African-Americans have experienced the worst form of racism In every way since slavery started and ended. Even If we try to change how things are today, because that racism has been reinforced In people's minds, people have adjusted to it. In my opinion, the birth of arrogance starts from stereotypes and racism, because of people's viewpoints and developed and Intergenerational Transmission minds passed down from descendants.
As young people, we need to make changes. although this Is a very important topic to talk about, we need to address this right away. everytime we don't, not only does it worsen, but It also reinforces wrong ideas, and creates more problems here In America. In order to stop this, or stultify it, we need to get In touch with people, talk to those who experienced it, and try to better it and those people who have been affected. since this is a very sensitive topic, and It's related to psychology, we should talk to therapists, clinicians, etc. etc. to get the word out, and Interview people who have been affected.
